About JOAN
Joan Dahmer is a physician in Arizona. She was inspired to write this story when she saw the US border wall for the first time.
She met her husband of over forty years in a middle school band (he played saxophone and she played clar- inet) in Kitchener, Canada. He has a BA in Communication Design, and is also a vintner. He designed the cover of this book and inspired one of its characters.
Originally from Canada, she and Scott moved to California, where they lived for nine years, then to Arizona, where they still reside. They own Aridus Winery in Willcox, Arizona.
They have a daughter, a son, and two delightful grandchildren.
